Setup

  • Drag the widget from the library and drop into your project in Design mode.
  • Place the widget anywhere you like in Design mode. The placement of the widget in Design mode doesn't affect where it will be seen on the page in browser, since placement options are given in the widget option panel. However, you may want to place it on canvas in the general area it will be on the page, so that you can consider the space it will take up as you design your page layout.
  • Open the widget option panel.
  • There are 2 Bar Display Types:
    • Full Bar: The full bar is always 100% width, and will span the entire browser. This is the display mode you will want to use if you plan to use "Accept Cookies" and "Decline Cookies" buttons. The full bar can be displayed on the top or bottom of the browser.
    • Small Bar: The small bar simply displays a message. The message is custom, and can say whatever you like. The small bar does not use buttons. The small bar allows for placement on the top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right.
  • The next 2 options allow for placement of the full and small bar.

  • Bar Styling section: This section allows you to style the size, font, colors, and more. You will notice that some settings are grayed out depending on whether a full bar or small bar display type are selected. All button settings are unavailable when small bar is selected.
  • Message Setup section There is a default cookie message as well as custom messages. For many cases, the default messages will be suitable. If you prefer to create messages in your own words, use the custom messages option.
