WIDGET OVERVIEW

There are 6 individual widgets in the Pinterest Pro Pack. Each widget is fairly simple, and often only requires a URL to be entered. This documentation will cover the purpose of each widget, and a brief explanation of settings in the panel.

BOARD AND PROFILE WIDGETS

The Board and Profile widgets offer a gallery style display of Pinterest Pins. The main difference is that the Board widget diaplys pins from a particular board, while the Profile widget displays pins from your entire profile.

Board Widget: When one Pin isn’t enough, add an entire board (up to 50 Pins) to your site. Board widgets give your visitors a quick taste of what your Pinterest profile's all about, and help to drive more traffic to your board.

  • Place the widget on the canvas in Muse.
  • The widget should be positioned where you would like it to appear on the page.
  • Size the widget width how you like, by dragging the widget container width controls. The maximum width is 731px, and the gallery is responsive down to mobile sizing.
  • Open the widget option panel.
  • Enter your Pinterest Board URL. This is found by simply visiting one of your boards and copying the URL.
  • Height: This sets the height of the gallery. Note that the most recent 50 pins will be shown, regardless of the height set. A scrollbar will be seen when the pins exceed the space shown with the height setting.

Profile Widget: Add a profile widget to your page to show the most recent Pins you’ve saved.

  • Enter your Pinterest User URL. This is found by simply visiting your main Pinterest profile user page and copying the URL.
  • Height: This sets the height of the gallery. Note that the most recent 50 pins saved to the profile will be shown, regardless of the height set. A scrollbar will be seen when the pins exceed the space shown with the height setting.

Save Button Widget: This widget allows users to save content on your page to their own Pinterest profiles and boards, helping even more Pinners discover you.

  • Place the widget on the canvas in Muse.
  • The widget should be positioned where you would like the button to appear on the page.
  • Open the widget option panel. You will notice that there is no profile or board URL to be entered. This is because the site visitor will save content to their own Pinterest profiles. When users click the save button, they will be shown a list of images from your page, in which to pin.
  • Round Icon / Large Icon: These settings allow you to choose the type of Save Button you would like to utilize. The buttons are default Pinterest button options.
  • Language: You may set the language manually, or use the user's default language.

Follow Button Widget: Let Pinners easily follow your business’s Pinterest page. Followers will see your added Pins, giving you more visibility.

  • Place the widget on the canvas in Muse.
  • The widget should be positioned where you would like the button to appear on the page.
  • Open the widget option panel.
  • Pinterest User URL: Enter your own user URL.
  • Button Text: This text will show up on your Follow Button.

Image Hover Buttons Widget: This simple widget enables Pinterest buttons to appear when hovering over any image on a page – allowing site visitors a quick and easy way to share your content.

  • Place the widget on the canvas in Muse.
  • The widget should be positioned out of the way, off canvas. It will apply its functionality to images on your site regardless of where it is placed.
  • Open the widget option panel.
  • Round Icon / Large Icon: These settings allow you to choose the type of Save Button you would like to utilize. The buttons are default Pinterest button options.
  • Language: You may set the language manually, or use the user's default language.

Only placed images in Muse will work with the Save Button and Image Hover Buttons. Using an image fill in a rectangle is not compatible with Pinterest's system of finding images on a page.

Pin Widget: The Pin widget lets you display individual Pinterest pins on your site.

  • Place the widget on the canvas in Muse.
  • The widget should be positioned where you would like the pin to appear on the page.
  • Open the widget option panel.
  • Enter the Pin URL. This URL can be found by visiting the page of the Pinterest pin and copying the URL.
  • Size: Choose from small, medium and large pin sizes.
  • Hide Description: As the label states this option hides the description of your pin.
